Larbert Rail Bridge Update

We asked Network Rail for an update on the bridge completion. They advised that the expected road opening date remains the 19th December. The reason they have advised of additional road closures on the Foundry Loan junction with Main Street, from 20th into 21st and 21st into 22nd December is to facilitate the removal of the temporary pedestrian footbridge. This is the bridge that currently hosts the utilities and it cannot be removed prior to all utilities being re-instated to the new road bridge.

They also advised that they no longer require the road closure at the Foundry Loan junction with Main Street this weekend – 16th-18th August or the next again weekend on 23rd-25th August. They changed the methodology to try and get as much done over last weekend as possible so that they could minimise disruption, and have met this target.
