March Community Council Meeting – 27th March 2017

The March meeting of the Community Council will be held in the Rennie Lounge of Larbert Old Church on Monday 27th March at 7:15pm.

We will specifically be discussing the Todhill Wind Farm Fund, Falkirk Council Open Space Strategy, a series of consultations (see more details below) and planning applications including the current Ineos planning application in Grangemouth.

We will also have our monthly reports from Police Scotland, Larbert High School and Falkirk Council’s Community Safety Team.

There are a large number of consultations requiring consideration which we would like to bring to your attention.

We will be discussing these at our March meeting. Residents can also respond directly to all of these consultations.

Todhill Wind Farm Fund – Celebration Event

There’s going to be a Celebration Event for the Todhill (Larbert, Stenhousemuir & Torwood) Wind Farm Fund. All are welcome to attend and find out more about the projects that have been funded and plans for 2017. The event will be held at 7-8pm on Wednesday 22nd March in the Dobbie Hall. January Meeting

It is the January meeting of the Community Council on Monday 25th January at 7:15pm in the halls of Larbert Old Church.

Please also remember that we have a special meeting of the Community Council on Tuesday 26th January at 7pm in the halls of Larbert Old to discuss Falkirk Council’s budget saving proposals. We have invited Mary Pitcaithly the Chief Executive of Falkirk Council to attend the meeting to provide an overview of the savings and to answer questions. All are welcome to attend.

Falkirk Council Budget Savings Presentation – Tuesday 26th January, 7pm in the halls of Larbert Old Church

Falkirk Council has to make a massive £51m of savings over the next 3 years. The Community Council has invited Mary Pitcaithly, Chief Executive of Falkirk Council and Bryan Smail, Chief Finance Officer to a special open public meeting to provide an overview of the options for the savings and to enable members of the local community to ask questions on the impact on local services and the local community.

We would like to invite all local residents, businesses, and organisations to come along and take this opportunity to hear about the savings from Falkirk Council’s Chief Executive and to raise any questions or concerns they have.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 26th January at 7pm in the halls of Larbert Old Church.

November 2015 – Community Council Meeting Notification

It’s the last meeting in 2015 of the Community Council on Monday 30th November. All are welcome to join us at 7:15pm in the halls of Larbert Old Church.

We’ll be discussing the Lido with Falkirk Council, considering Falkirk Council’s budget proposals    and receiving an update on progress with the establishment of the Todhill Windfarm Community Benefit Funds.

We’ll also have our monthly updates from Larbert High, Police Scotland and the Community Safety Team.
