February 2016 Community Council Meeting

The February meeting of the Community Council will be held in the Rennie Lounge of Larbert Old Church on Monday 29th February 2016 at 7:15pm.

January Meeting

It is the January meeting of the Community Council on Monday 25th January at 7:15pm in the halls of Larbert Old Church.

As well as our standing agenda items and our monthly Police, Community Safety Team and Youth Reports, we will also receive updates on the following:

  • The #59 bus service – Chris Cox, Falkirk Council
  • Parking and the travel plan at Forth Valley Royal Hospital – Mark Craske, NHS Forth Valley

Please also remember that we have a special meeting of the Community Council on Tuesday 26th January at 7pm in the halls of Larbert Old to discuss Falkirk Council’s budget saving proposals. We have invited Mary Pitcaithly the Chief Executive of Falkirk Council to attend the meeting to provide an overview of the savings and to answer questions. All are welcome to attend.

November 2015 – Community Council Meeting Notification

It’s the last meeting in 2015 of the Community Council on Monday 30th November. All are welcome to join us at 7:15pm in the halls of Larbert Old Church.

We’ll be discussing the Lido with Falkirk Council, considering Falkirk Council’s budget proposals    and receiving an update on progress with the establishment of the Todhill Windfarm Community Benefit Funds.

We’ll also have our monthly updates from Larbert High, Police Scotland and the Community Safety Team.

Community Council AGM – Monday 28th September 2015

At the AGM, there will be annual reports from the Convener, Secretary and Treasurer in relation to the activities of the Community Council in 2014/15.

We will also have our regular monthly updates from Police Scotland, the Community Safety Team and Larbert High School, along with an update on the Todhill Windfarm Community Benefit Fund.

June 2015 Meeting Notification

The June meeting of the Community Council will be held in the Rennie Lounge of Larbert Old Church on Monday 29th June 2015 at 7:15pm.

At the meeting, we will have a presentation on Falkirk Council’s proposals for a new Council HQ. The consultation for this can be viewed here.

We will also be discussing Community Energy Plans. There will be an update on the Todhill Windfarm Community Benefit Fund and Community Action Plan which is currently being developed. At the meeting, we will have our regular monthly updates from Police Scotland and Larbert High School. We are also pleased to be welcoming Karen Armstrong from Falkirk Community Trust along to the meeting to provide us with an update on progress with the proposed gym in Stenhousemuir Town Centre.

In addition, Richard Armitage who set-up the Edinburgh City Car Club will also be coming along to talk to us about local car clubs as part of a feasibility study being carried out by Falkirk Council to establish a local car club.

The October meeting of the Community Council will be held in the Rennie Lounge of Larbert Old Church on Monday 27th October 2014 at 7:15pm.

We have a number of speakers at our October meeting:

  • Malaika Rose – Action on Hearing Loss
