There’s going to be a Celebration Event for the Todhill (Larbert, Stenhousemuir & Torwood) Wind Farm Fund. All are welcome to attend and find out more about the projects that have been funded and plans for 2017. The event will be held at 7-8pm on Wednesday 22nd March in the Dobbie Hall. The Community Council has invited Tom Pickering, Operations Director of Ineos Upstream to deliver a presentation outlining the company’s plans for shale gas extraction and to answer questions the community may have in relation to the plans.
The event will take place at 7:30pm on Monday 7th September 2015 in the halls of Larbert Old Church. The format of the evening will be a 30 minute presentation followed by a question and answer session.
Attend one of our Open Meetings and have your voice heard. The Community Council is keen to gather as many views as possible from local residents on how we can maximise the impact of the Todhill Windfarm Community Benefit funding in order to make Larbert, Stenhousemuir and Torwood and better place to live, work and visit. We have arranged 2 open public meetings as part of this process and would like to invite you along to one of the events to hear your views. Full details of both dates are below.
We are delighted to announce that Larbert Village Primary School choir will be performing at the Friday event, and Stenhousemuir Primary School choir will be performing at the Tuesday event.

This year’s Stenhousemuir Charities Day will be held in the precinct on Saturday the 25th of April from 10am to 4.00pm.

This year’s event will also include a farmers market element to promote the Year of Food and Drink.
We are pleased to advise that we have just received confirmation that Falkirk Council and its partners are holding a family fun day at the Lido in Stenhousemuir. This event follows the recent terrible acts of vandalism in the park with the event aiming to raise community awareness of the park and in particular the wildlife, plants and trees.
The event will be held on Saturday 16 August from 12 noon – 4pm.
So far the following fantastic activities have been confirmed:
•Interactive workshops around the Lido pool
•Bike display by award winning 360 Bicycle Stunt Team
•Dr Bike Surgery – children and adults can bring their bikes along for a free safety check
•Bike map tours – tours from Stenhousemuir to the Kelpies
•Bouncy castles, bungee runs etc
•Birds of Prey

With the Forestry Commission fun day taking place in the woods at FVRH on the 17th, this is going to be a super fun-filled weekend for all the local community.
Sunday 17th August – The Forestry Commission is holding a free family Fun Day in the woods at FVRH from 11am – 3pm. There will be lots of exciting activities for the whole family, including Thai Chi sessions, falcon and wildlife displays, pond dipping, woodland walks and workouts and fruit drink tasting sessions.
The event will take place on the lawn next to Larbert House and car parking will be available in the staff car park opposite Accident & Emergency.
