• 25% affordable homes.
• New junction and access road from Stirling Road.
• Footpath links between Stirling Road and Larbert Loch.
• Area of parkland to the west between the development and Larbert Loch.

The Community Council has received a proposal of application notice relating to a proposed residential development on land at Stirling Road in Larbert.
Following the 12-week consultation period, the developers intend to seek planning permission in principle for the development.
A site location plan is attached below to this post showing the application site boundary in red. The developer has advised that not all of the land would be proposed for development, and that substantial areas would be retained and enhanced as open public space.
The developers are keen to hear the views of local residents and as part of the 12-week public consultation period, they will be holding a formal public exhibition of the proposals at Larbert Bowling Club on Tuesday 28th June 2016 between 3pm and 7pm. All are welcome to attend.
Falkirk Council has put their designs on display at the One Stop Shop in Stenhousemuir for the 18 flats (9 1-bedroom and 9 2-bedroom flats) they hope to build on the site of the former Police Station and Registry Office in Stenhousemuir. They intend to retain the existing Main Street façade of the building with a new build behind the facade. The flats would be built over 3 floors (with a lift) and would be social housing owned and managed by Falkirk Council.
The designs will be on display for another few weeks at the One Stop Shop and Falkirk Council is welcoming comments on the proposals.
The Community Council will discuss the proposals as well at our next meeting on Monday 26th January. Please note this is a community consultation at this stage in advance of the finalisation of the plans by Falkirk Council.
Falkirk Council is preparing and consulting on a range of Supplementary Guidance (SG) which will accompany the Local Development Plan (LDP). At this stage, they have published, and are seeking comments on the following three draft Supplementary Guidance notes: Continue reading →
