A9 Torwood to Larbert Speed Limit Changes

The following 2 changes to the speed limit between the Falkirk/Stirling Council boundary through Torwood to Larbert on the A9 have been made by Falkirk Council and will come into operation on 10 July 2014:

1. The Falkirk Council (50mph Speed Limit)(A9 Torwood) (TRO14/14/005) – The speed limit will be reduced from 60mph to 50mph from the Falkirk/Stirling Council boundary to a point near Castle Crescent in Torwood. The speed limit will also be reduced from 60mph to 50mph from a point near the entrance to the Fishery through to the new roundabout at Glenbervie Golf Club. 2. The Falkirk Council (40mph Speed Limit)(A9 Torwood) (TRO/14/006) – The speed limit on the A9 through Torwood will be reduced from 60mph to 40mph from a point near Castle Crescent in Torwood through to a point near the entrance to the Fishery. Speed Limit Proposals A9 Torwood

Falkirk Council proposes to make 2 Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to amend the speed limit on the A9 Torwood to Larbert.

The Community Council is aware that there have been a large number of diverse comments and in the circumstances there has been no clear opinion on the matter. We intend to advise Falkirk Council of that position. Continue reading
